We stopped by Mountain Sun for a bite to eat on the way to Avery brewing.  Got to hang out with the brewer, Nate who was very Kind to take time and talk about their beer and the business and show me around the brewery.  Nate was so generous he even offered to buy us a round. I had a F.Y.I.P.A and Basil Blue Cheeseburger and what a sublime pairing that is. The Vietnamese sandwich was delicious too! Hat tip to everyone at Mountain Sun Brewery. Cant' wait to go back to Boulder!

Boulevard Double Wide IPA

What a score, the liquor store by the office had it on sale for 7 bucks. Poured in my trusty Fat Tire tulip glass, Double Wide gave me a cloudy amberish caramel color, with a impressive triple finger head. Nice sweet citrus aroma with a bit of pine, medium body with a hoppy taste to start and a sweet malty finish. Well deserved balanced double IPA after a nice 12 hour work day.

8.50% ABV and 50 IBUs

Dark, deep & cola color, very complex in taste. Roasted malt, chocolate, dried fruit flavors with hint of boozy finish. Lacked a bit in head, might of been bit too cold. Brewer reccomens the beer as a dessert beer, specifically with chocolate or cigars. Not sure if I like Fred better or not. They are both pretty darn tasty beer to sip on.
